Rio de Janeiro is one of the most fascinating cities in the entire world not only because of the exquisite beaches, beautiful girls or the carnival; it is also a great city because of the numerous events that are being held each and every single month in Rio. With this article we will summarize some of the most important events that are being held in Rio this month.
We will begin the review by presenting the first event: “Living more for less “– Chick That Fits Your Budget, which is being held at Av. Epitácio Pessoa, 4.866 – Lagoa through the entire month. This exhibition which is considered as being a pioneer in sustainability was launched with the main purpose of presenting sustainable interior design solutions and architecture. To obtain more information about this event e-mail at pvfernandes@interfisio.com.br or call (21) 2537-9164.
Moving on to the Rio Vet Trade Show which is being held at Riocentro – GL Events Centro de Convencoes – Pavilhoes 1, 2, 3, 4 e 5 – Av. Salvador Allende, 6.555 – Jacarepagua where both professors and professionals will offer lectures on interactive themes regarding the life quality of all animals. This event has also a parallel event called the IX South American Congress on Veterinary Medicine where the same topics will be debated.
If you are planning your vacation here in September make sure you check out some of the cultural spots in Rio like the Military Museum located at Estrada do Mato Alto, 6.024 – Barra de Guaratiba. Another worth visiting museum would be the Republic Museum which was the place for Brazil’s Republican Government from 1897 until 1960. On the ground floor you will find the Entrance Hall as well as the Ministerial Room. Moving up to the second floor (also known as the “noble floor”) you will find the Chapel Room as well as the Blue, Noble, Pompeian, Venetian, Moorish and Banquette rooms. Last but not least, the third floor highlights the reconstruction of President Getúlio Vargas’ room. The rest of the rooms on the third floor were designed to display objects, photographs and text documents from the Republic Museum’s own collection.
In September the Calouste Gulbenkian Cultural Center is open to the large public. The three-story building is the house of the Gonzaguinha Theater, a fascinating auditorium, a unique viewing room and the famous Ismael Nery art gallery. Besides all of these, you can also take a lot at 20 rooms and workshops where courses for artists as well as technicians whose professions are linked with art are ministered. If you are interested in visiting this spot, you can find it at the following address: Rua Benedito Hipólito, 125 – Centro.
Last but not least, another place to visit would be the Federal Justice Cultural Center – CCJF which is a lovely four-story building filled with a lot of history background. The building became the federal Justice Cultural Center after it was fully restored and at the moment holds exhibitions focused mainly on Brazilian art and above all photography.
All things considered, Rio de Janeiro is a great tourist destination not just in September but through the entire year so if you are planning a vacation, we strongly recommend that you take Rio into consideration.
